Three Month

Happy three months to my Squishy Taft!
You've become quite the chunky monkey, and you are one of the happiest most content babies I have ever met! We feel so lucky to have you.

You've become a smiley little Chatty Cathy, and I fall deeper and deeper into love with you every stinking day<3

 Weight - 13 lbs. 3 oz.
 Height - 24.5 inches
Diaper Size - We are officially into size 2 diapers as of yesterday!

Clothes Size
He's once again in another awkward stage where 0-3 month clothes are too small for him, but the 3-6 months stuff is still too big. It's unbelievable how fast they grow.

Nicknames
Squishy Taft, Squishy Boy, and Tafto are the most common. Kent still calls him Taftomundo, and my parents call him Tafters, Tafteroni, and Tafftertot.

Diet
Taft decided that he didn't want to breastfeed anymore so we are exclusively on formula. He drinks 6 to 7 ounces every 4 hours. It has been a huge relief to have stopped nursing. All though I enjoyed it, it is so much more convenient to only have feedings every 4 hours, and to know exactly how much he is eating. Plus, he is much happier on a bottle.

 Health
He has been a healthy healthy boy! It's been a relief because last month was not so good. His head has started to go a little flat in the back. I took him into the doctor this week, and he said that it was nothing at all to worry about. He said it will eventually round back out.

 Sleep
He is such a good boy. We recently changed his sleeping schedule. We put him down at 8:30 in his crib, and he generally doesn't wake up until 8:30 the next morning. This has been such a blessing to have him sleeping completely through the night, and I count my lucky stars that he does!

Likes
-He loves being sung to
- Loves playing in his little gym
-Still loves his carseat
-He LOOVES bath time
- Loves going to Grandma and Grandpas house
- Smiles soooo big for Uncle Colton

Dislikes
 -Doesn't like drinking cold formula
- He HATES tummy time, like hates it.
He is the happiest baby ever. There really is not much that he doesn't like. Except tummy time. He hates it.

Milestones
- He rolls over!
- Sometimes he almost giggles. It's absolutely adorable.
- He can sit in his bumbo for about 20 minutes before he gets too tired.
- He sleeps in his crib like a big boy.

Love you Tafto!

Two Months

Happy Two Months Tafto!
This has been some of the best two months of my life. It still feels like it was just yesterday that you first came into this world, yet at the same time I feel like I known you my entire life.

You are getting bigger and chunkier everyday, and I LOVE it. You smile and talk just about the whole day, and you melt mamas heart on a regular basis.

You were blessed on March 6th 2016, and it was such a beautiful day. Your dad gave you the most beautiful blessing, and you were surrounded by people who love you dearly allll day long.

Weight - 11.4 lbs
Height - 23 3/4 inches
Diaper Size - We are still in size 1. I don't know how long that will last with this chunky monkey

Clothes Size - He is in 0-3 month right now, but he will seriously be too big for them in about two weeks. It's breaking my heart how fast he is growing! My little squish is turning into a big squish!

Nicknames
Squish still takes the lead! I tend to call him Tafto occasionally. Kent calls him Stretch, and Taftomundo. He still gets called Tafters, Tafteroni, and Tafftertot too:)

Diet
Nursing is an up and down roller coaster. There are days that it goes really really well, and there are days that it goes horribly. I feel like my milk supply is gradually getting less and less which means he will most likely always be on a bottle here pretty soon. He gets about two bottles a day still. He totally prefers a bottle over nursing.

Health
I swear we are in the doctors office like every other week! After his one month check-up, he got the worst diaper rash ever. It was a big open sore wound bleeding in his diapers, It was so sad. I finally took him in at 6 weeks, and he had a yeast infection. We got antibiotics for it, and it cleared up nice and quick. Then he had his 2 month appointment and had to get his shots... so sad. Shots are no fun. The doctor said he was a healthy little squish, and sent us on our way. The next week he started getting congested, so I took him in again. He has a cold! He is having a hard time eating because his nose is so stuffy. We are just praying this little cold passes quickly and that it has no effect on his lungs.

Sleep
Taft is a champion sleeper! He sleeps completely through the night just about every night as of about a week ago. The longest he has gone is 9:30 to 7:30 but on average he goes 9:30 to 6:30, and I count my lucky stars! As soon as this little cold passes and we know he is breathing okay again, he is will be moved to his crib. I cannot wait because he is still sounds like a little bear cub and night with his growling and it keeps me up.

Likes
- He LOOOVES bath time
- He really likes his butt being patted
- His swing
- He still loves
-Being swaddled for bedtime
- Loves his binky
- Loves being in his car seat

Dislikes
- He does not like being woke up for feedings during the day
- Still hates wet diapers
- He loses it when his binky falls out of his mouth
- When his swing is moving too slow
- He is still soooo content. There really isn't much he doesn't like

Milestones
- He has become a Chatty Cathy! If you can lock eye contact with him, he will talk and talk and talk. Having conversations with him is one of my favorite pass times:)
- Smiles for days! Especially in the morning. He is the happiest kid EVER right when he wakes up in the morning. It's definitely my favorite part of the day.
-He is a champ at holding his head up now.

Being a mom to Taft is the absolute best. I feel like I have gotten a little piece of Heaven sent to my home. It's incredible to see him grow and grow and grow. Life with him only gets better and better.

One Month

Happy One Month to my squishy little Taft!

This month has absolutely flown by. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. This month has been so much fun. I am one tired, and happy momma!

It has been amazing to watch him grow, and already start to develop his own little personality. Everyday he opens his eyes more and more, and sometimes we think we are going to get a smile from him. Hopefully any day now:)

Weight - About 9.2 lbs
Height - 25 inches
Diaper Size - We are officially into size 1 as of last week

Clothes Size
He's in this awkward stage where all of his newborn clothes are too small but is his 0-3 month stuff is way too big. I'm looking forward to getting him in his new size, but sooooo sad that he's not quite newborn size anymore.

Nicknames
Squish, Stretch, Laffy Tafty, Tafto, Taftosaurusrex, Taftomundo, Tafters Tafteroni, and Tafftertot, there seems to be a new one almost everyday haha.

Diet
Nursing is going really well. He gets a bottle of formula probably about twice a day. One for a night feed when Kent gets up with him, and occasionally another if we go out with friends or family. (I SUCK at covered nursing.)

Health
The little squish gave us a bit of a scare! When he was born he had to be in the NICU for an extra day because he was having a hard time breathing. When we took him home, everything seemed to be just fine. Over the next 3 weeks, he would have these episodes where he would turn blue and start gasping for air. You could say I was pretty freaked out. I took him to the pediatrician at his 3 week mark, and they wanted us to keep him on oxygen monitors for a week, just to watch and make sure his oxygen wasn't dropping significantly at other times. Well, after a week on the monitors, he hasn't had any more blue episodes, and all the readings on the monitors have been perfect! Praying or little Tafter's lungs finally figured it out!

Sleep
On average, Taft sleeps in shifts each lasting about 4 hours during the night. We've had a couple lucky nights where he has gone 6 hours, and those are THE BEST! He is the noisiest sleeper ever! He sounds like a little bear cub all night, growling and groaning. Haha it keeps his momma up all night!

Likes
- Snuggling with his momma and daddy
- He's started loving tummy time
- Being swaddled for bedtime
- His swing
- EATING
- Snuggles from Grandma and Grandpa
- Loves his binky

Dislikes
- Not a huge fan of bath time (he gets so cold when I wrap him in his towel)
- He doesn't like getting his diaper changed very much
- But he also HATES wet and dirty diapers... it's a struggle
- Honestly he's so content, I don't think there's anything else he really hates right now... yet

Milestones
- Getting clearance from the doctor to take him home from the hospital was a huge milestone for me. I HATED the hospital and could not wait to get him home.
- When he was 3 weeks old, I finally heard a real life, full fledged, ear piercing cry from the kid. It only lasted about 30 seconds, but at least he finally let out a real cry haha.

I wish I had a photographic memory. I just stare at my little squish and just think about how fast this life is going. I know I say this all the time, but it genuinely makes me sad! I want to freeze Taft the way he is right now so I can enjoy him the way he is just a little bit longer. I don't want to forget those perfect little stork bites, or the way that his legs curl up when he pick him up. I don't want to forget the sounds he makes while he's sleeping, or the way that his tiny hand curls perfectly around my finger. Gah I love my Taft.
